After reading a teacher's assignment, they may have you type something up in a text box. Watch the video below and then submit the word "Complete" in the text box.

Tutorial 04: Add Google as a registered service to Canvas

Before you can access Kami and Google Docs in Canvas, you'll need to add Google as a registered service to Canvas. Watch the video below.

Tutorial 05: Edit and submit a PDF document (using Kami)

Some assignments will require you to use Kami in one of two different ways. Watch the video below to learn how to do this.

Tutorial 06: Submitting a Google Doc

Some teachers may have you copy a Google Doc to your Google Drive folder, complete it, and then submit it back here in Canvas. Get a copy of the Google Doc below and watch the video below on how to do this.

In some cases, it may be easier or requested by your teacher to complete your assignment using a piece of paper. This video will show you how to scan the paper and submit it to an assignment.

When work is graded, you should always check to see if your teacher has left you feedback. Watch this video to find out how to do this.

Tutorial 09: How to message and communicate with your teacher

When communicating with your teacher, you should always use Canvas Inbox, not the teacher's email. Remember to use proper etiquette when messaging them. Be specific and include details in your message. Don't forget to attach files if sending in work. Watch the video below to find out more.

Tutorial 10: How to check eSchool for your grades

We use the following website to check grades. DO NOT USE CANVAS TO CHECK YOUR GRADES.

After logging in, choose the Classes tab and make sure the term or "run" is set to the appropriate quarter. There is no video for this tutorial.

Tutorial 11: How to use CASH Bookshelf (if necessary)

Once in a while, your textbook for a course will be found on the CASH bookshelf. This video will show you how to access it.

Tutorial 12: How to set up your Garmin Fitness Tracker if you're taking Cyber Physical Education

IMPORTANT! You must use a smart device, either yours or your parents, to pair the fitness tracker. They currently do not work with the school Chromebook.

If you're enrolled in a Cyber Physical Education course for either 1/2 a year or the full year, then you will need a Garmin username and password and a fitness tracker. If you haven't picked yours up and/or haven't been assigned a username and password, contact Mr. Messerall using the below contact information:

Tutorial 13: General trouble shooting if you're experiencing odd issues

Sometimes if a page isn't loading right, you should empty your Chrome browser's cache and data. Follow these steps to do so.

Go to settings in Chrome (top right 3 dot ellipsis)
Click “Settings”
Click “Security and Privacy” on the left
Click "Clear Browsing Data"
Choose the Basic tab, check all three boxes and set time range to "All time"
Hit "Clear Data"
Close your browser, re-open it and try again

If your Chromebook isn't responding correctly or behaving out of the ordinary. Follow these steps to remove and re-add your account (WARNING: this will remove any data in the Downloaded folder of your Chromebook permanently. Your files on Google Drive will remain).

Log out of the Chromebook
If the Sign Out button is still visible on this screen, click it.
There should be a drop down arrow next to your name, click it.
Choose Remove Account.
Confirm.
Log back into your Chromebook again and let all the apps install again. This may take some time.
